Hi, my name is Will, I’m really into health, especially nutrition and I like to work out to stay fit, healthy and clear-headed.
I experiment with a lot of different supplements and have recently been trying out TestoTek – I made this website to share my experience with others.
What TestoTEK Claims to Do:
TestoTek is a testosterone booster – meaning it is a supplement formulated to increase levels of testosterone in the body. The manufacturer claims that the formula will target testosterone production – making the body produce more testosterone naturally.
The idea is that by increasing testosterone in the body you will find it easier to lose fat and gain muscle, you will notice increases in energy levels and focus and of course you will see your libido and sexual performance increase.
These are great claims, but I wanted to put them to the test and find out if TestoTEK does all of this.
You can read more about TestoTEKs claims at the official website – Click here.
The Science: Ingredients Analysis
One of the best ways to get to the bottom of whether a supplement works or not is to take a good hard look at the ingredients. I compared the ingredients of TestoTEK against real scientific studies to find out if they stand up to scientific rigor.
Below I will list out each ingredient, the dosage level and how it is backed up by science. I believe you will find this quite informative.
Vitamin D3 – 2000 IU
This is a great ingredient to see right out of the gate. There are a lot of scientific studies backing up the effectiveness of Vitamin D on testosterone levels. There is also proof that deficiencies in this Vitamin can be linked to low testosterone levels. One study conducted at the medical university of Graz discovered that testosterone levels increased by20% of men who supplemented with Vitamin D for a year (Study).
D-Aspartic Acid – 2000 MG
D-aspartic acid is great for testosterone. It is an amino acid that helps to produce sperm cells and hormones such as the luteinizing hormone. In one study, 23 men were given a dosage of DAA daily for 12 days. After this time their testosterone levels had risen by a whopping 42% on average. This amino acid is probably the most effective ingredient out of the whole bunch. I certainly wouldn’t buy any testosterone booster that doesn’t contain this.
Vitamin B Complex – 50 mg
There is mixed evidence to suggest how vitamin B impacts testosterone levels. There is some evidence that B6 and B12 do have an impact however its not conclusive. This is nice to have but not necessary.
Zinc – 25 mg
Zinc has an impact on testosterone levels, and a deficiency in this mineral can be very bad for men’s health. It’s great to see this ingredient in a good dosage level. An eight-week study was conducted where 57 football players were given zinc supplementation daily (study). The results showed an average increase across all the players who dosed with Zinc as compared to a control group who took placebos. Zinc has been proven in multiple studies to have a big impact on testosterone production.
Mucuna Pruriens – 175 mg
Mucuna is an herb that is extracted from a bean – it has been widely associated with many homeopathic health treatments, but does it help increase testosterone levels?
The short answer is yes, but it plays more of a supporting role – I wouldn’t take this as a standalone supplement for testosterone – but it works great as part of a testosterone boosting formula.
One study found that Mucuna is a rich source of L-dopa metabolites (study). These metabolites cause an increase in plasma testosterone levels and have been linked to increases in sexual desire. Essentially – Mucuna Pruriens is a great libido booster.
Stinging Nettle Root – 100 mg
Although Stinging Nettle does not directly increase testosterone production, it does free up the availability of testosterone that is already being produced. You see over half the testosterone in your body is essentially being wasted. It is bound to sex hormone binding globulin and unable to be used by your body. Nettle root contains Lignin’s which bind to the SHBG instead of testosterone – freeing up more testosterone to help you build muscle, lose fat, increase libido and feel great.
Fenugreek – 75 mg
There is proof that Fenugreek can help increase testosterone levels for sure. It’s not a super important ingredient but helps out and plays a role. In one study, 60mg of fenugreek extract was given to 60 healthy males for six weeks. In the end, the subjects reported increased muscle strength and improved libido (study).
Fenugreek is mostly known to impact libido and help with sexual performance so if you are looking for those benefits then this will be great for you.
Oyster Extract – 75 mg
Oyster extract is essentially another source of Zinc – it works in much the same way zinc does and is great for testosterone levels. Oyster extract is great for overall health it contains fish oils, amino acids, copper, manganese, and other trace elements which are all great for living a healthy life.
Siberian Ginseng – 50 mg
There is limited evidence to show the impact of Siberian Ginseng on testosterone levels – there is a lot of anecdotal evidence however very few studies have been done, so it is hard to know one way or the other. I would have preferred to see Korean Red Ginseng which has a lot more evidence to back it up.
Ingredients Analysis Conclusions:
- Has some great ingredients; especially Zinc, D-Aspartic Acid and Vitamin D which have a lot of proof behind them and are very effective boosters.
- The formula is 100% safe – the ingredients are all-natural and in occur in dosage levels that are completely safe.
- Has some good supporting ingredients – Mucuna Pruriens, Fenugreek and Stinging Nettle Root are all backed up by scientific studies.
- Missing magnesium – which is up there with Zinc and Vitamin D. There is a lot of proof behind the testosterone boosting properties of magnesium and I would have loved to see it in the formula.
This is a great formula and is certainly up there among the best testosterone boosters on the market. Lack of magnesium is a shame, but this will still do a lot for you. Great dosage levels and 100% safe. TestoTek ingredients formula gets two thumbs up from me.
Because TestoTEK is made from 100% natural ingredients and occurs in safe dosages, it is pretty safe. I can’t find any reports of side effects from other users and certainly haven’t experienced any myself. However, to be completely safe you may want to consult a doctor before using. I would also recommend getting your testosterone levels tested before you take this to make sure you have low T – otherwise it probably won’t do much for you.
Results from Users:
Most of the results I found from others are good. There are a few bad ones – just saying that it did nothing for them. However, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive overall. Certainly, worth a try. Here are some testimonials that I found below:
- Overall a very good formula with lots of powerful ingredients.
- 100% safe and natural
- Lots of great user reviews and testimonials
- Couldn’t find any reports of side effects
- Missing Magnesium – a powerful ingredient that would add to the formula.
- A reasonably high-priced product; but you get what you pay for.
One of the better testosterone boosters on the market. I highly recommend this and feel comfortable taking it myself.
Where to Buy TestoTek – Pricing, and Cost
The CHEAPEST place to buy TestoTEK is direct from the manufacturer (TEK Naturals). Be sure to click the drop-down and see your options – you can save even more money if you buy 3 or 6 bottles instead of one.
TestoTEK is listed on Amazon. However, it is more expensive there, and you won’t get good multi-unit deals. Plus, it is safer to deal with the manufacturer directly.
